Privacy policy
Last updated: October 20, 2026. This page explains what happens to information about you when you visit Dry Glass Notes at https://dry-glass-notes.neocities.org. It describes only what the site actually does today.
The short version
- This site has no forms, no comment section and no sign-up box, so it never asks you for your name or email address.
- The site sets no cookies and runs no scripts: no analytics, no ad scripts and no other third-party code.
- The site is hosted by Neocities (details below).
- Many articles contain affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Hosting: Neocities
The site is hosted by Neocities. When your browser asks for a page, it connects to Neocities’ servers, and like any web request this sends technical details such as your IP address and your browser’s user agent. The Neocities privacy policy (last updated June 3, 2013) says that Neocities automatically receives information from your web browser, including the website you came from, your IP address and browser type, and uses it to analyze trends. That policy is written for neocities.org itself and does not separately describe logging for sites it hosts, such as this one.
What we see: the Neocities account for this site shows us only total page view and hit counts. We do not receive visitors’ IP addresses or any per-visitor log from Neocities.
Affiliate links
Some articles link to products through affiliate or referral links. These links are marked as sponsored in the page code. If you click one, the link goes through the network’s or seller’s tracking address before reaching the store, and that company (not us) may set cookies or record the click so that a purchase can be credited to this site. We do not receive your name, email or payment details from these companies. The networks and programs currently linked from this site are:
- Admitad (links through rthsu.com and rzekl.com, for example to Govee and VEVOR)
- Sovrn Commerce (links through sovrn.co)
- Rakuten Advertising (links through click.linksynergy.com)
- Direct referral links to KeepGlad, Tosot Direct and Moiswell (links ending in ?ref=HOLLISVARROW)
Each of these companies has its own privacy policy, which applies once you leave this site. If we add another affiliate network, we will list it here.
Other links: newsletter, shops and tips
The footer and the About page link to services that run on other websites, including the free newsletter (dry-glass-notes.factsheetsix.com), our shop listings (such as Fourthwall, Kobo, Zazzle, Big Cartel and others named on the About page), a Shieldz link that sells the ebook, and tip pages (BitcoinTipJar, MyTapTip). Nothing is sent to them unless you click through. If you sign up, buy or tip there, that service handles your information under its own privacy policy.
Articles also link to official sources such as canada.ca, Natural Resources Canada, CMHC and the U.S. EPA. Those sites have their own policies.
